Propogating some new roses
Someone (dog or cat) must have been chasing a bird or squirrel and ran into my newest rose bush, chopping off a nice-sized cane. I love this new rose, it is called the McCartney Rose, and it has an amazing scent, so I decided to see if I could get the cuttings to root.
Pretty simple process, just scrape a bit off the end of the cane, dip in rooting hormone, place in some new soil, water, and wait!
Here's the rooting hormone I mostly use. I admit I'll just lick the ends if am not near my potting bench, but just don't tell my husband who has a germ fear and already thinks I am crazy.
Happy Gardening!
